Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register?  Students register online by opening an account and choosing a Safe and Sober class.

Can I take the course online?   Many individuals are more comfortable attending the classroom session where the information is reviewed, questions can be asked and examples are given.  If you would like to attend a classrooom session, please see the locations, dates and times.  We do not offer this program on-line.  You must attend class in a classroom setting.

What happens if I do not pass the test?  The instructor will review the questions that you missed.  If you do not obtain a score of 80% or above, you will be required to return following a 24-hour waiting period and retake the test.  There is a Ten ($10.00) Dollar charge for any individual who needs to retake the exam.

What am I required to bring to the testing site?  When presenting to the class, please bring your photo identification, proof of your social security number and your payment.   We would recommend bringing a pen and notebook for note taking as well.

What is the cost of the program and are there any refunds?  The cost of the program is Forty ($40.00) Dollars.  This is a cash-only course.  Payment is due at the time you present for class.  Once you are admitted to the class and make your payment, there are no refunds.  In the event you become sick during the class, a refund will be offered upon written request or you will be given the option to complete the class at another time.

How does the MVA know that I completed the program?  You will be given a 3-Hour Alcohol and Drug Education Certificate.  This certificate is valid for one year from the date of issue.  If you have a Maryland soundex number, you will not be given a certificate.  Instead the information will be transmitted electronically by Greg's Driving School, Inc. and posted to your record that your completed the program.  This will be done within 24 hours of when you complete the final test,  Please note that your driving record is not updated until the information is posted.

If the weather is bad, how do I know if you are still having class?  In the event the school is closed due to inclement weather, you will be called and advised of alternate dates and times to take the class.   If you cannot come to the class for any reason, please contact Greg's Driving School, Inc. to advise that you will not be participating.  Greg's Driving School, Inc. reserves the right to cancel the class if we do not have a minimum of three students attending.   All cancellations are also posted on our website.

What if I do not understand English?  This program is only offered in English.  Please be aware that there is a pre-test and a final test in English.
