
Safe and Sober (previously 3-Hour Drug & Alcohol Education Program)
Greg's Driving School, Inc. now offers the Safe and Sober Program. This is a program which is approved and regulated by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Alcohol and Drug Administration. We are currently holding this program on Saturday mornings and afternoons at our classrooms in Ellicott City, Frederick, Gaithersburg, Silver Spring and Waldorf.
This program is required by the Motor Vehicle Administration for drivers who are relocating from a foreign country and want to apply for a Maryland driver's license. Course participants will be made aware of the causes and consequences of impaired driving as well as being educated regarding safe driving behaviors. The certified instructor will review Maryland laws regarding impaired driving, especially those related to Driving While Impaired (DWI) and Driving While Under the Influence (DUI). Students will need to bring with them the following: 1) a document that proves age and identity; 2) document of valid social security number; 3) out of country license 4) payment of Forty ($40.00) Dollars (cash-only course). Greg's Driving School only offers this program in a classroom setting. We do not offer an on-line alternative for this program. Greg's Driving School, Inc. reserves the right to cancel a class in the event there are less than three participants signed up for a class. You will be notified via telephone or email if the class is cancelled and given alternate dates. Once you have completed this 3-hour program, you will be awarded a 3-Hour Alchol and Drug Education Certificate. This certificate is valid for one year from the date of issue.
